After visiting O’ahu, we hopped on another flight to get to Kauai. Not to be biased, but Kauai was definitely my favorite!!! I’m still in awe that this gorgeous island exists.  I can assure you, if you’re looking for a place to relax/ reset that’s full of beautiful nature, Kauai is the place to be.

  • Hotel: Aston Islander On the Beach
  • Go Grab Lunch at Sleeping Giant Grill (get it to go and eat on beach)
  • Lava Lava Beach Club (for drinks)
  • More drinks at Sandbar
  • Shaved Ice by the bay (popular in the area)
  • Secret North Beach? (https://matadornetwork.com/read/amazing-beaches-kauai/)
  • Go Hiking Wailua Falls
  • Head to Beach at the Sheraton on Poipu 2532 Hoonani Rd, Koloa, HI 96756 – rent lounger for Sunset

Highly recommend taking a dip in the waterfall after the hike to Wailua Falls.

  • Umua coffee at Sleeping Giant
  • Option to bike from hotel to Kapaa Beach (10 mins) (Kauai Juice + Java Kai coffee is a must) The bike path begins in Kapaa, so there’s some riding on the road, but it’s worth it to go all the way to The end at Kealia beach (just 10 mins away from Kapaa)
  • HELICOPTER TOUR option: Kauai Shore Excursion: 55-minute
  • Waimea Canyon State Park
  • In Kokee, stop at the Kokee Lodge Cafe & Bar before you get to kalalau lookout because it closes early and get the Bloody Mary and the Portuguese soup
  • Kokee State Park
  • Kalalau Lookout
  • Stop at Salt Pond, near Hanapepe, a favorite beach!
  • Go back to the hotel, change, and go to dinner at The Sandbar (in the hotel)
  • For nightlife/food/drinks: Trees (if open) is great. And in walking distance I highly recommend Street Burger for lunch dinner. Really cool restaurant. If you want a fancier place but you need reservations, Hukilau Lanai, which is the next hotel over is amazing!

I left my heart in Kauai. The views were breathtaking.

If Kauai isn’t on your list of islands to visit by now, think again.
