WALKING THE RUNWAY AT MIAMI SWIM WEEK WITH AERIE! + MY REACTION!

I don’t think I ever got to share my experience walking the Aerie runway during Miami Swim Week, so I figured I do so now…

I started working/collaborating with Aerie last year during the grand opening of their Miami location. Before that, I used to purchase my outfits for school every school year until I graduated with my BA. It was a tradition. So when I got the opportunity to work with them last year, I couldn’t believe it. How surreal? For a brand I’ve loved since I was a child to partner with me to motivate other women out there, who were like me once, is a very surreal-out-of-the-body experience.

Fast forward to a month before Miami Swim Week when I got the email, well, let’s just say I didn’t have any vocals after that. I remember calling everyone: my mum, my grandma, a few of my friends, grabbing Sawyer’s face and telling him mummy is going to be walking the Aerie runway.

Me? How bizarre! How lucky! How blessed!

But wait, HOW WAS I GOING TO DO THIS WITH PEOPLE LOOKING AT ME IN A BATHING SUIT? HOW?

I still don’t know HOW I did it, okay? But somehow, I did.

It was one of the best experiences of my life. I’m sure I’m going to bring this up to my kids some day. As every experience I’ve had since starting this blog to be honest.

As for Miami Swim Week, I wrote a previous post about where I stayed in Miami during this week. I loved seeing how diverse the runways were. Women of all shapes and sizes slaying the catwalk made me feel so inspired and hopeful for the future of fashion.

A lot goes on during Swim Week, which I didn’t expect. I ran from one event to the hotel to the runways on repeat for a whole week. It was my first experience ever and it was both awesome and exhausting. I took so many photos, I hope you enjoy them all.

I did partner with Misslola the entire week, and you can shop for my looks and also get 20% off using my code JOCELYN.

Here’s a little recap + also some of my favorites shows and pop-ups definitely were: British Designer Laurie Nouchka, Monica Hansen, Melissa Official, ETE Swimwear, Mikoh, Acacia, Speedo USA, Kaohs, Montce, and KYA Swim.
